Search Engine Optimization
For The Search Engines
Not to long ago, www.brunologreco.com enjoyed position #3 for a few keywords such as life coach Toronto, family life coaching, Teen Coach Toronto, and success coach Toronto, to name a few. Early last week I noticed I was no longer in position #3 for any keyword.
The investigation – After days of searching and learning why I had lost my position for keywords on Google, I learned that somebody I authorized to use my link has a poor pagerank and as a result it was not helping my website. Unfortunately I had to terminate the link from my site to his site. Within 24hours of terminating the link I regained position #16 on Google for my keyword life coach Toronto. I’m still working on many other terms.
My life coach Toronto website did not rank for the keyword “life coach” nor “life coaching”, but since the incident last week, brunologreco.com now ranks for both “life coach” and “life coaching” – that is amazing for a new website to rank for those two keywords.
Search Engine Optimization is a pain in the ass if you ask me, but very much needed with thousands of new websites launched each day. As a matter of fact, Cisco Systems, the San Jose, California based company that makes a living selling plumbing for the Internet has predicted; Traffic on the world’s networks will increase (annually) 46 percent from 2007 to 2012, nearly doubling every two years. If this is not a good reason for websites to be optimized then I don’t know what is.
So this morning I decided to write a blog post about Search Engine Optimization to help others optimize their websites. A higher pagerank means more free organic traffic from the major search engines. Free organic Web traffic comes from unpaid listings, which is generated or increased by including your website in major search directories such as Yahoo!, DMOZ, Google, Inktomi, and guides such as the yellow pages or even restaurants guides and award sites.
If you are a newbie to the Internet world and are looking for some quick tips on Search Engine Optimization here are a few tricks that will definitely help your cause.
Search Engine Optimization Tips:
1. META TAGS – Often time I read that META TAGS are not that important anymore, but I beg to differ. I think they are a must because I have seen my website rank high with META TAGS and not even rank at all without them. Make sure you have META TAGS in each of your webpage’s. Make sure that your keyword(s) are strategically placed in your META TAGS.
2. HTML Coding – Think of your website like an article. If you are writing an article for school, you want to be sure you are using proper headings – likewise for your website. Make sure your first heading is denoted with h1 tag, and any subsequent heading with h2 and h3 tags.
3. Make use of the alt tag if you have lots of images on your website. Alt tags help the search engines give a description to your image. By adding keywords to the
4. When writing text for your webpage – be sure to “sprinkle” your keywords throughout your webpage’s – but remember keyword density. Each search engine has their own keyword density algorithm, too little and you won’t rank, too high and its considered spam.
5. And the best way to yield free organic traffic is to start a blog and link back to your website using your keyword, like I often do, Life Coach, Toronto native Bruno LoGreco.
And lastly, if you would like to help my cause to regain position #3 on Google, feel free to add the following link to your blog or website: Master Life Coach, Toronto native Bruno LoGreco

A lot of website on the Internet today are just there–lost in cyberspace. These websites don’t even rank on any of the major search engines and their creators don’t even know it. A lot of website creators think just because they launch a website the web surfers will show up and start buying the products or services.
Congratulations on successfully launching your website!
Now you should consider planning your next move and also halt any further web development. Think of the Internet like a dictionary–a dictionary filled with billions of words that make up databases of information, organized by relevance, then linked to a website. The web crawlers crawl your website gather text data, your sitemap (if you have not created a sitemap, you may want to reconsider) and images, organize the data and index the website based on relevance. If the very first thing that robot tries to read is software, i.e. flash or javascript, it will deem your website unreadable and your website will not get indexed.
Dictionaries are flat, therefore you may want to consider building a flat website, unless you already have high traffic flowing to your site.

I’m sitting at my desk thinking to myself, what makes me so different than most people? The answer to the question is quite simple. When I dream of an idea, I like to explore the idea and see where it takes me. I explore all my ideas for new opportunities. I treat each and every new idea as if the idea is already coming to life. The idea does not cost anything to explore.
When you have an idea, get it out of your head and put it on paper. Explore your idea and see where it takes you. If you are still excited about your idea a few weeks later, you are definitely onto something. You should keep exploring your idea, begin writing some of the small tasks that you can complete, tasks that cost you nothing.
What sets me apart from most people is I have no barriers, nor should you.
