Healing Power of Journaling

Journaling Improves Mind, Body and Soul

Life is not easy and there might be days that you wish you could hide under a rock to shield yourself from the world. But you know that won’t get you anywhere so you soldier on.

What are your life challenges?

Your things to do lists are piling up, you can’t let go of past problems or figure out recent challenges. You have a hard time concentrating on tasks and the drive to succeed is slowly dwindling because you are too overwhelmed. Maybe you just aren’t happy and fulfilled.

If this has gone on for a while you might be starting to feel the physical effects of it. Always being tired and unable to get the energy you need to do all you want to get done in a day takes a toll. When productivity in life plummets, stress heightens. You need to do something to clear the clutter in your mind. You can find huge benefits from writing it all down in a journal. You might also consider hiring a life coach to help you.

Goal-Setting

Not long ago I read somewhere that the most successful people, which only represent 10% of the world population, write their goals and review them regularly.

We set goals everyday for ourselves. Some goals are trivial, while others are significant and require thought and planning. The alarm clock you set that wakes you every morning, to taking a shower, and brushing your teeth, these are all goals you set for yourself everyday. The goals are small, but no doubt they are goals. Buying a home is also a goal, but buying a home requires a plan. You may be aware of the tasks that need to take place mentally, and begin to execute each task subconsciously. “How much money is needed. Check mls for listings. Find a realtor. How many bedroom, bathrooms? Backyard? City or suburb?” The small tasks will sum the overall plan, which will lead to the goal.

Some goals you set for yourself will be achieved successfully, some will be work in progress, and some goals, will seem overwhelming to you, and soon will be abandoned. Maybe for the fear of failure, maybe It’s too much work, or maybe it’s just not the right time, but whatever the reason, remember if you abandon any goal, you will never know if the goal you just abandoned is your childhood dream. Everyone has goals, but only 10% track their goals and create a plan.

Something magical will materialize when you write your goals. Track them in a journal, or an online journal and or goal-setting website. Whichever method you choose to use to track your goals, one-by-one they will begin to materialize. Even the larger goals that require a plan–task-by-task you will secure your success to achieving your ultimate goal, your dream.

Online Journaling

We are on day three of the iijournal launch. We have seen a nice steady flow of new traffic joining each day.

Yesterday I received an email from one of the users asking to be deleted from the iijournal database. The person went on to say that iijournal was a hoax website. I replied to the user and advised the user their account would be deleted within 48 hours, a second email was sent by the same user, this time accusing PSI of steeling her idea.

When you are creating a new ideas or even exploring a new opportunity, considering writing down your idea on paper first and dating it. Ask your friend or anyone close to you to sign as a witness. If you plan on discussing your idea with a third-party, consider creating a non-disclosure agreement. Regardless of who you are dealing with, you have to remember that business is business and all business regardless of you who you are dealing with requires an agreement. This means family too.

All too often we are blinded by emotions–eliminate the emotions before making any business decisions. No one can ever fault you for being a savvy business person–After all business is business and you don’t see fortune 500 companies operating under a hand shake–Do you? So why are you?

A Dreamers Mind

6:25 in the morning and I have already been up for 3 hours. Not so creative this morning seeing how I only slept for five hours. My eyes are heavy and I’ve been staring at a computer screen for the last two hours waiting for some kind of inspiration to pop out of the computer monitor.

I think I’m calling it a morning. I’m going to head back to bed, maybe take a snooze for a few hours.

Talk to you later…

Journaling

Dear Friends,
Welcome to the February issue of my newsletter.

In this issue:

  • Valentine’s Day and Life Coaching Savings Packages
  • Food For Thought about Your Relationships
  • Exciting Things to Come On Brunologreco.com & www.iijournal.com
  • Some Optional Homework Assignments

I hope the month of February has found you well. The crisp winter air can be invigorating for you if you let it be. Are you someone who hides away indoors in the winter? Instead of hibernating and putting your life on hold until spring why not let the cold energize you all the more? Ok, so snow shovelling and having to scrape thick ice off your windshield might make you feel a little less than chipper in the morning but don’t let it get you down.

Why wait until spring to enjoy life?

We often put things off, don’t we? I’ll lose weight after my holidays, I’ll quit smoking as soon as I’m less stressed, I’ll look for a better job when I get through this rough patch, I’ll organize and de-clutter as soon as things settle down etc., etc. Again, why wait until later to have the life you want…a better life!

Why not try doing something out of the ordinary this month. Energize yourself with something exciting! Were you full of vim and vigour at New Year’s thinking it was the time to change your life? Many people start to feel their ambition die down before Groundhog Day. Don’t let it! You have the power to change your life for the better any of the glorious 365 days the year offers to you.

Valentine’s Day

Speaking of special days…Valentine’s Day is almost upon us. Do you love your relationships in your life? I’m not talking about just your relationship with your spouse or significant other, I’m talking about all the relationships you have. This is a great time to nurture them and nourish your relationship with yourself too.

Are you searching for a great Valentine’s Day gift? To celebrate this lovely time of year there’s a discount offered at www.brunologreco.com where you can buy yourself or a loved one a life coaching package at a discount of 25% off regular pricing. There are numerous packages to choose from and what better gift to a loved one (or ones self) than the empowerment that comes with making the decision to take the driver’s seat in life? Check out the website for more information about the packages and what they can do for you.

Relationships with others can shape how we feel about ourselves and how we treat everyone in our life. Our relationships shape our own identity, really. Whether you’re involved in a serious relationship or not your relationships with everyone in your life impacts your level of happiness and success. Consider the following:

• How you treat your boss will impact how he or she treats you.

• How you treat your spouse and children will have the same boomerang effect.

• Your relationship with your parents, your siblings and your children will all impact how successful you are in life.

If you’re living your life continually thinking that others are treating you poorly, it’s a great time to make the decision about how you will allow yourself to be treated. Model the ideal behaviour in the way that you treat everyone else. There really is something profound in the verse, “Do unto others as you’d have done unto you.”

Not only will that behaviour result in you feeling better about the world around you but those positive feelings will vibrate in your universe and you’ll see new doors of opportunity open around you.

Food For Thought

Do you have some broken fences to mend? It’s a great time to think about taking action in that area. Do you use your tongue as a sword against others with gossip or jealousy? These are actions that can hurt your own life. In your relationships, almost everyday can be like Valentine’s Day if that’s the type of relationship you choose to have.

Optional Homework assignments:

Here are some easy but very effective homework assignments you can do:

-Tell someone about a goal of yours. Hopefully you choose someone who will be willing to remind/ask you about it later. Saying it aloud can often make a difference.

-Write it down! Start journaling now if you like by writing down a list of goals and put the list in a place that you look at every day (such as the refrigerator, on a post-it note on your computer monitor, the bathroom mirror or wherever you’ll see it regularly) and you’ll realize how much easier it is to work towards your goals and dreams when you’ve taken the time to write them down and when you see them in ink each and every day.

Or, grab a spiral notebook and write down some goals in life. Whether it’s to change something you don’t like or to do more of something you do like, writing it down can make it indelibly printed in your mind and take an idea to the planning phase. Try it!

Nourish some relationships. Whether they’re intimate relationships or family members or even a friend you want to reach out to, spend some time with someone you enjoy and help make them feel good about themselves.

Have a great month!
