“How to Gain Confidence… with EASE!”

Confidence is something that everybody needs, but so many people are lacking. Without confidence people spend their lives watching success slip through their fingers at every turn, yet they are unable to grasp it. When you truly have faith in yourself and your abilities, you are able… to use your strengths and confidence to build the life you’ve always wanted.

What Is Confidence?

Confidence is all about being self-assured. It’s about trusting yourself and your abilities and being comfortable with simply not knowing what the outcomes of something might be. If you are confident in yourself, who you are, and your strengths, you won’t worry about outcomes.

When I first started my career, I wasn’t the most confident as a life coach. But what I was confident about were my abilities. I knew that I had the talents and the skills to be a great life coach. I just needed experience. I stood up to the challenge, I got the experience, and I achieved my goals. If I hadn’t done that, I wouldn’t have fulfilled my dreams.

Confidence Is Essential to Achieving Success

Without confidence you will spend your life struggling to achieve success, but you will never accomplish it. Throughout our lives, starting in grade school, it’s been ingrained in us that failure is a bad thing. But nothing could be further from the truth. You can’t see failure as something horrible. Mistakes are actually a great teacher and a wonderful learning experience that give us insight into future successes.

By gaining new experiences you’ll give yourself insight, strength, and confidence that you hadn’t thought possible before. But to get there you’ve got to try. In this life, you’ll never regret the things you did, but you will always regret the things you didn’t do. Taking chances is the only way you can open the door for new opportunities, and new successes.

When you’re lacking confidence, you will hold yourself back from pursuing your dreams. If chasing perfectionism is holding you back, you need to let go of that myth. No one is perfect, and trying to achieve that ideal will zap your confidence and prevent you from becoming successful and living the life you’ve always dreamed of.

What’s Holding You Back?

If you lack self-awareness and don’t know how to leverage your strengths and skills, you will prevent yourself from ever living the life you want and being happy. You need to develop a knowledge of your strengths, values, and needs in order to figure out who you are and what you truly want out of life.

Are you living a dead-end life?

Otherwise, you’ll be stuck in a vicious cycle of negative self-talk and fear of trying new experiences. You need to explore your dreams and take chances. Try new things. Succeed or fail, it doesn’t matter. If you fail, you’ll stand a much better chance of succeeding the next time around. Don’t let negative self talk bring you down, and prevent you from challenging yourself.

To get more insight into your own confidence levels and insecurities, you need to evaluate yourself, and see where you are.

1. Make a list of your insecurities.

Maybe you think you’re not smart enough, you wish you could communicate better, or you’re overweight. Everyone has their own list of insecurities and it’s a very personal thing.

2. For each item on your list, measure where your confidence levels are now from 0 to 100, with 0 being the lowest and 100 being the highest.

3. Ask yourself where you wish your confidence levels were for each item, and record that number.

4. Now, you need to figure how to close the gap for each item.

i) What do you need to stop doing?
ii) What do you need to do less of?
iii) What do you need to do more of?
